FRANKFORT, KY – Daniel B. Elliott, an attorney in Boyle County, was nominated to run for a vacancy in the Kentucky House of Representatives District 54.  The 54th District includes Boyle County and Casey County.

“Frankfort needs some common sense leadership, and I intend to be a strong, independent voice for the working families of Kentucky,” said Elliott in accepting the nomination. “Our state government needs to be more efficient, responsive, transparent, and accountable to the people of Kentucky.  I look forward to waging a campaign that focuses on the issues that are important to the people of Boyle and Casey Counties, and I can’t wait to meet with them and listen to their concerns on the campaign trail.”

Elliott has been an attorney since 2011 after passing the Kentucky Bar Examination and is currently in private practice in Danville. Elliott earned his Bachelor of Arts from Bellarmine University and his law degree from the University of Louisville School of Law.  Elliott served as an intern in the United States Senate in Washington, DC during college and he is a graduate of Boyle County High School.

“My parents raised me in a Christian household, and I will be eternally grateful to them for that,” said Elliott. “It provided me with a foundation that has guided my life and will continue to guide me for as long as I live.  As a lawyer, I represent children, parents, and individuals without a voice and with nowhere else to turn.  Those folks need someone to stand up for them in Frankfort.”

Daniel Elliott attends Bradfordsville United Methodist Church, has volunteered for many years in the Forkland Festival, and has resided in the Forkland community since 1993.
